A New Beginning in America

In 1969, Halina and Andrzej Prądzyński emigrated from Poland to Austin, Texas. Halina arrived an accomplished esthetician, trained in medical studies and advanced skin care in Warsaw and at the Helena Rubinstein Institute in Paris, already known across Europe for her expertise. Andrzej came as a doctorate research chemist to continue his work at the University of Texas. Between them they carried two rare things: a master's command of the skin and the science to formulate for it.

Halina European Skin Care Opens Its Doors

Before opening her own doors, Halina studied American salon operations at the famed Elizabeth Arden salon in New York, the pinnacle of American skincare at the time. In 1970, she opened Halina European Skin Care in Austin. It was the first of its kind in the region, offering European treatments and skin analysis that until then existed only in New York and Beverly Hills.

Blending Halina's esthetic mastery with Andrzej's training as a chemist, the couple launched Halina André Professional Skin Care: formulas built on natural ingredients and scientific rigor.
